SCOTTISH BORDERS COUNCIL PRAISE ECON RE-FURBS
Updated. 18.February.2010

Scottish Borders Council has made further use of Econ’s comprehensive re-furbishing service with a variety of equipment with the results being described as “excellent” by its fleet manager John Martin.
Two existing tipper bodies were removed from “V” registered 6x4 DAF chassis and overhauled blast and painted to a similar specification as the Econ spreaders. The tipper was then remounted onto a new DAF 75 series 6x4 chassis and a load cell on board weighting system fitted.
The council has an existing fleet of some 30 spreaders, which are predominantly Econ models as John Martin states “We have standardised on Econ equipment which allows us to mix and match chassis and bodies to match operational requirements,” John went on to add “The quality of the equipment and the service received is first class.”
